London-based cinematographer and photographer Daniel McKenzie-Cossou approached me towards the end of 2015 with a view to giving his website a full redesign & development.
Having been let down by a previous developer who charged for every addition and amend, Dan was keen to move onto a CMS, with WordPress being the obvious solution, which would allow him to keep his videography and photography portfolios up to date.
Whilst the video page is a pretty straightforward list of embedded YouTube/Vimeo videos, the photo gallery is slightly more complex. Dan is able to create galleries on the fly, which are then mixed up and randomised on the front end using mixitup.js. Galleries can then be filtered, and each thumbnail links to its larger compatriot in a simple lightbox.
